Paris Fashion Week ... Esther Adams

Whilst out street styling this week there was one sign that couldn't be missed that it is the years longest and darkest month, and that is that everyone seem to be wearing black! Why is it that once the bad weather sets in we drift towards our most colourless pieces to enhance this already dark time? 

So to inspire a bit of a lift in mood, I wanted to post this shot of the lovely Esther Adams from Vogue, come rain or snow she always smiles! I really like the way she has layered her winter whites here and she brightened the streets of Paris on an otherwise rainy day. The chiffon dress is by Cos and the white knit is from Topshop and a teeny bit of neon shines through from her Stella McCartney bag.

I shot the lovely ELLE team this week. They never let the cold and the snow face them and worked gorgeous patterns with winter booties or wrapped up beautifully in snuggly jackets!

I spotted the gorgeous Manon Leloup after the Roland Mouret show. She also graced the catwalks of other big names such as Celine, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Balmain. Here she is wearing a checkered vintage coat and Urban Outfitters dress and boots.

London Fashion Week ... Olivia Palermo

The lovely Olivia Palermo makes wearing this under-knee length Whistles leather skirt look effortless. She has added some gentle colour with the green and white with a red and yellow burberry belt, and finishes the look with white Valentino pumps with a green croc strap and a croc clutch.

Milan Fashion Week ... Chiara Totire

Blogger and stylist Chiara Totire after the Marni show in Milan. In the spirit of the show she showed her support as is tradition with this show in particular and sports here a Marni for H&M coat and Marni skirt. The glitter shoes are Miu Miu and the flower print top is by Prada. The layering, materials and grey tones work really well together.

Paris Fashion Week ... Alexandra Golovanoff

I have a soft spot for the slightly quiet and mysterious atmosphere in the early morning Paris rain. When TV presenter Alexandra Golovanoff came walking towards me in this metallic Balenciaga jacket the setting was complete. There is something otherworldly about the way Balenciaga uses fabrics and shapes and it takes a certain persona to carry off a full Balenciaga outfit in the morning,  however Alexandra certainly does it.

After Fendi ... Joan Smalls

The gorgeous Joan Smalls after the SS13 Fendi show in Milan. Here she is mastering the sport luxe trend in a Rick Owens hat, Proenza Schouler jumper and Alexander Wang skirt. Love the rock and roll peekaboo effect of the pockets!

London Fashion Week ... Victoria Sekrier

Stylist Victoria Sekrier looked staggering in her Suno suit and the thick vertical stripes are such a great nod to next seasons geometric trend. She added a bit of ladylike chic with her Angel Jackson bag and at the same time made it look casual cool with a Dagmar T-shirt red and grey Ellesse traniers and a loosely draped silk scarf.

New York Fashion Week ... Fiona Green

Fashion Editor at FLARE Fiona Green is rocking one of my favourite daytime chic looks - rolled up slouchy Levis jeans and a simple tee - The beautiful jacket is by Proenza Schouler and the sandals are Ann Demeulemeester. There is something Seriously Playful about this look which is exactly the words that I would use to express my hopes for 2013!
