Model Portraits... Soo Joo

I have been meaning to feature some of my model portraits here on the blog for quite a while. And I wanted to start the series with Soo Joo Park.  She has one of my favourite model looks at the moment, and I think she really represents a growing trend in culture and fashion. She has a great attitude and I always love photographing her. 

New York Fashion Week ... Double Denim

Double denim is such an excellent summer wardrobe staple, and this lovely model that I shot in New York shows us how to do the denim shorts & shirt combo.

Aussie model Jessica Hart looks super cool in this pleated sheer dress with matching strappy sandals and side swept ponytail. 

Milan Fashion Week ss13 ... Natalia in A.W.A.K.E

Harpers Bazaar Russia's Natalia Alaverdian arrived at the Jil Sander ss13 show wearing a jumpsuit from her own fashion line A.W.A.K.E. I like the animal references in the prints, although I suspect this is not an easy look to pull off. But Natalia's petite frame does it really nicely and the side plait and red lips are a nice touch.

Milan Fashion Week ... The Biker Jacket

The biker jacket is having a moment and is returning on the fashion scene with full force. As well as spotting it on the streets during fashion weeks, I have also seen many outstanding versions hanging in the shops right now. One of my favourite versions is from my new shop addiction & other stories... 

Milan Fashion Week ss13 ... Natalie Joos

Natalie Joos does the minimalist look with a Joosey-twist. With white wide legged trousers a white minimalist top she has mixed two garments that potentially could make it a bit boring. However it is far from it. The red beads in the top, the blue fingernails and the yellow zipper on the clutch adds just enough hints of colour to give it the edge it needs to be spring/summer 2013 ready. 

Model Style ... Dorothea

One of the most adaptable trends for spring is Monochrome. Black and white in all shapes and forms were hitting the catwalks everywhere. However sometimes the simple adaptation is probably better for most, and model Dorothea Barth Jørgensen does exactly that with her cigarette trousers and deconstructed white shirt. Boy'ish but still feminine.

London Fashion Week .... Hege Badendyck in Acne

I love this outfit on Hege Badendyck from Costume magazine. She stood out from the crowds attending the Acne show in London last season like a trendy piece of candy. Everything is right about this for me,  from the shift Acne dress, the shape and the silhouette, to the metallic fabric and the styling of the beachy messy hair with the grey glasses. It has edgy Scandinavian chic written all over it.

What ELLE Wears ... 26.03.13

I had the pleasure of photographing the Elle team again, and they looked lovely as always. I really enjoy photographing the team, and they always impress me. Come rain, snow or weeks of bitter cold, they always participate with a smile and we have fun shooting in the most extreme conditions. Like this time around, it was zero degrees celcius and snow was in the air, does it show, hell no!

Stylist Julia Sarr Jamois knows how to rock the skirt and trainer trend like no other. Her outfits always has a playful edge which I love.

Fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia combines a chequered top and skirt with glitter pumps and mirrored sunnies.
