Imagine my surprise when in I was in Rome some 2 weeks ago and suddenly 3 enormous SUV's drive up on the piazza we're having a drink and 20 people dressed in black jump out of the cars without a word. And then - Karl Lagerfeld elegantly glides out holding on to a medium format. He strolls up to the little fountain near us and starts photographing it - still without a word. His team are just watching in awe tension rising - trying to figure out his next move without having to ask him! The whole scene was Fascinating, and I couldn't help but take a couple of snaps of King Karl snapping....
